Who Is FASNY?

FASNY

FASNY offers a bilingual education to more than 800 students in grades N-12. Currently located on three campuses in Larchmont, Mamaroneck, and Scarsdale, FASNY students come from the surrounding communities, and tri-state area. The bilingual curriculum draws students from diverse cultural backgrounds- American, French, French American, French Expatriates, Canadian, as well as a variety of other nationalities. This unique educational program allows each student the opportunity to learn a second, or even third language while participating in sports and after-school activities. FASNY graduates are bilingual, multi-cultural, well-rounded individuals.

FASNY’s accreditations include NY State Department of Education, NY State Association of Independent Schools, and the French Ministry of Education. The School offers two diplomas: the FASNY High School Diploma and the French Baccalaureate.

FASNY welcomes and values the diversity of its student body, and is committed to providing access to all qualified students, regardless of their economic situation, race, nationality or ethnicity. The School offers financial aid from Nursery through Grade 12.

FASNY FASNY’s success is not based solely upon its curriculum, but upon the community and character of the person it promotes. FASNY encourages its students to be active members of the community, both by example, and by providing and promoting various opportunities for community outreach. FASNY offers both children and adult after-school programs on the French language, art, music, judo, young scientists, and athletics. FASNY encourages its students to participate in local Art Shows, such as the Art Exhibit at the Mamaroneck Artist Guild, and Rye Center Student Exhibition, as well as other community programs such as Midnight Run, Toys for Tots, Hoops for Hearts, Food Drives, and Coat Drives.

The Student Government organized and hosted a Thanksgiving Day Soup Kitchen providing lunch for 250 less fortunate members of the community. In recent years, students have also pursued various fund raising campaigns for Japan, Haiti, and a Children’s Hospital. Students have organized concerts for the Senior Citizens of Larchmont and participated in the Bridges to Community program resulting in their assistance with the construction of two homes in Nicaragua.

For the past eight years, FASNY has been looking for a site that could accommodate its existing three divisions and allow for growth in the student population.
